What Is Training?
Training is a learning process that involves the acquisition of knowledge, concepts, and/or rules, sharpening of skills, or changing of attitudes and behaviors to enhance the performance of employees. It is activity leading to skilled behavior.

How to Make Training WorksmallTraining
The success of any training program depends on the people who implement it.  Our training program aligns the attitudes, skills, and knowledge of the participants with the objectives of the program and Leadership enthusiastically supports the program in all ways.  With our set of clearly defined OBJECTIVES, participants will understand why the program is important.  Knowing why it matters will soften any resistance to its implementation and solidify an attitude of cooperation and support for the program throughout the organization.

Training Best Practices
The following best practices are used during the planning and execution of our training program to ensure success.

bindercover2Unity - Our training program will be rolled out across your entire facility, not portions or select departments within your facility, at the same time. This creates a ‘one-for-all’ camaraderie in the facility and inspires unified support for the program.

Concise and Active - Our training sessions for associates are brief, intensely interesting, and active. Organics recycling requires basic functional skills and knowledge by the participants. Therefore, training is conducted in brief sessions with the opportunity for the participants to engage in a visual, hands-on activity to practice recognizing the materials and methods of diversion.

Connect to the Bigger Picture - To create a sense of overall contribution and context,  background information is given so participants understand the ‘why’ as well as the ‘how’.

Our Organics Recycling Program requires three critical forces for success:

1. The directive and support of Leadership to propel the program forward

 2. A predictable and consistent measurement and evaluation system

 3. A system of rewards and incentives for participation and performance
